Dessiccant Dry Cabinets
Desiccant dry cabinets are the latest technology solution used to protect MSD’s (moisture-sensitive materials). Specially designed air ducts and circulation system directs the humid air homogeneously to the drying units. Desiccant units absorb humid air and provide a moisture-free environment into the cabinet. X-Treme Series Auto Dry Cabinets offers the fastest and most efficient dehumidification ability in the industry with the patented state-of-the-art drying units (DHM-01). Thanks to its comprehensive software when the desiccant units are saturated with moisture, they can regenerate themselves without any user intervention, and only when they need to regenerate, in this way they can prepare themselves for the next drying process.
Desiccant dry cabinets with double dryer units provide a fast, reliable, and uninterrupted drying process by enabling the drying units to work together in a comprehensive algorithm. In case of any malfunction, the dryer units back up each other and continue the drying process. All parameters related to dehumidification can be adjusted and monitored on the touch screen control panel.
Desiccant Dry Cabinets are suitable for both long- and short-term storage needs. Thanks to its ability to dry down to 0.5% RH (Relative Humidity) with high-quality dryer units, it’s possible to reset floor life of MSD Electronic Components without baking. Thus, we can prevent time loss, cost loss, and failures that may occur due to high-temperature baking. It is the most efficient solution for removing moisture trapped in the component and PCB.
In the market, baking is generally done for floor life resetting operations. The drying unit of X-Treme Series Auto Dry Cabinets operating at very low humidity levels and optional heating units up to 100ᵒC work together to provide a fast and healthy baking process at low temperatures. It provides a larger area and a more controlled drying environment compared to traditional ovens.
The main advantage they bring is their plug-and-play nature and the fact that once you plug in the cabinets they virtually work by themselves after that point without any need for installation and it continues to operate for many years without requiring any maintenance and consumables since the first start. Dryer units do not have any lifetime.

Smart Nitrogen Dry Cabinets
The use of nitrogen gas for dehumidification and storage is one of the oldest accepted method in the market for a long time. Nitrogen gas is purging into the cabinet and the air is thrown out of the cabinet. Along with the air, moisture and oxygen are also thrown out. With that way, a moisture-free and the oxygen-free environment is provided.
Nitrogen is commonly used because it does not react when exposed to other gases, especially as opposed to oxygen, which is highly reactive. Due to its chemical structure, nitrogen atoms need more energy to break down and react with other substances. On the other hand, oxygen is a much more reactive gas, as oxygen molecules break down easily. On the contrary, nitrogen gas enables obtaining non-reactive environments where necessary.
The non-reactive feature of nitrogen is its greatest feature, and so this gas is used to prevent slow and rapid oxidation. The electronics industry is an excellent example of this use because slow oxidation can occur in the form of corrosion during the production of PCB’s (printed circuit boards) and other small components. In this case, nitrogen is used to displace or replace air to better protect the end product.
Nitrogen dehumidification is an ideal environment, an effective method, especially in cases where oxidation and corrosion are possible. Thanks to the positive pressure it provides, it prevents moisture penetration into the dry cabinet and provides a safe environment for the materials inside the dry cabinet.
There are many nitrogen cabinets on the market, these devices continuously purge nitrogen gas into the cabinet at constant pressures without any software support and provide nitrogen evacuation through continuous evacuation valves. In this way, it ensures that oxygen does not penetrate into the cabinet, but there are a very high nitrogen consumption and an uncontrolled environment. Such devices threaten human health by lowering the oxygen rate in the environment especially used in small rooms.
X-Treme Series Smart Nitrogen Dry Cabinet keeps the moisture level at desired levels by optimally adjusting the nitrogen gas used thanks to its extensive software and sensitive sensors and saving money by minimizing the consumable usage level. According to process needs, nitrogen gas pressure can be increased, reduced, or nitrogen gas purging settings can be changed on the touch screen control panel to be specially shaped for the system. X-Treme Series Hybrid Dry Cabinet offers the fastest dehumidification solutions in the world, using desiccant dehumidification and smart nitrogen dehumidification technologies together in perfect form. In particular, it creates the most suitable environment for storing high-precision materials. For example, MSL 3, MSL 4, MSL 5, MSL 5A levels MSD electronic components used in the electronic production industry show high sensitivity to moisture.
While X-Treme Series Hybrid Dry Cabinet prevents oxidation %100 with its smart nitrogen unit, it also makes the dehumidification process faster and more reliable with the desiccant dry units operating simultaneously. A smart nitrogen unit will continue drying process by taking control when the desiccant dry unit reaches saturation and regenerates itself automatically. In case the nitrogen source is interrupted or if there is a malfunction in any unit, the other unit takes over the control and provides a continuous drying process. For these reasons, they are the most efficient dry and storage solutions that can be used especially in long-term storage and drying processes.
X-Treme Series Hybrid Dry Cabinet optimally adjusts the nitrogen gas used thanks to its comprehensive software and sensitive sensors, keeping the humidity level to desired values, and saving by minimizing the consumable usage level. Users can increase or decrease nitrogen gas pressure according to process needs or it can be tailored to the process by changing the nitrogen gas injection settings on the touch screen control panel.
